Somehow, however, I am back in Blanding! I was texting Paige earlier tonight and she said she thinks she is going to be
on a homework frenzy until Christmas. I texted back that I am on a grading frenzy until then! I don't know how I am going to catch up! We are back in full swing around here... starting Act IV of Hamlet (today we performed scenes), finishing up Transcendentalism and gearing up for Huck Finn, and working on literary analysis in AP Lang and Comp. Time flies when you are having fun :). I am actually looking forward to the next four weeks. At the end is Christmas (whoo hoo!) and end of term (half way mark!). I am hoping to do some really fun things in the meantime. Not to mention basketball season starting :). I am posting some more pictures Nick took when he was here. They, of course, are of my classroom. It is sort of a sad little room (lacking in decor and windows) but I call it home. Have I mentioned that I love teaching English yet? I do. I love these kids. They are so good. I went to the first home boys bb game tonight. I love seeing them in their element (not always an English classroom, so sad). They
have so much personality and life. I feel privileged to be here with them in this grand adventure of living!

Ok, well, I am rambling and putting off lesson planning... so away I go!! Cheers.

Dang Carly, you are so cute. I love that you posted pictures of your classroom. I'd been trying to picture it in my mind and now I see it in real life. Isn't it wonderful to love your job?!

That was a WONDERFUL blog and I loved loved LOVED seeing pictures of your classroom!! LOVED IT! Thank you Nick once again! My mind has been trying to create what your classroom looks like, but I always gave up not wanting to hook myself on a thought that wasn't real. Now I can see, and I love that. It makes for when you talk about your classroom I will have a vision in my mind. Yea for the wonderful English Teacher of Blanding. Those kids are really lucky to have you!! And well, so I am I! Cheers to you!
I love your classroom! How fun...I think a little part of me started to miss teaching. (Just a very little part) I'm glad you had fun. Hopefully, we'll see you at Christmas!
