So seriously I loved growing up in California. As a little girl I could (truthfully) not comprehend why ANYONE (including all my cousins) would possibly want to live farther inland than Huntington Beach. Really, a longer drive than 15 minutes to the ocean is just too far.
So pretty much I now live too far.
Who knows if I'll ever live in California again, but man I love that I have a permanent reason to visit: home.
Hip Hip Hooray for home!!
My little brother and his sweet fiance are getting themselves hitched just one week from today, and I am on pins and needles for it to be NOW. Goodness, I'm excited.
I have been planning, scheming, and dreaming about this trip from just about the day Blake pulled out the ring. And the best part is... we're going to be there a whole week. Longer actually. Jeremy has a conference for work in San Fransisco and is flying out of the good old Long Beach Airport while RayJ and I hang out at home.
Here's a (non comprehensive) list of things I want to do while there:
- Get my hair cut (my sweet mom offered to get it done for me. I haven't been to a real hair salon since before my mission. True story.)
- The Wedding Dinner (with all the fam. Bring it.)
- The Wedding day with all the wonderful festivities... temple ceremony, pictures (hooray for new clothes), hanging out, the reception. Ah, I just can't wait. Such a happy day it will be!)
- Hang out with my family (Sara and Stanford will be there all weekend long... Tasha and family will be in and out all week. Love it.)
- Go to the beach (prayers for good weather appreciated)
- Visit with Grandma Snowball
- Visit with Grandma Torgerson
- Goldenspoon? Anyone?
- M&L (best fabric shop on the planet, I dare say)
- Swing on California swings
- Watch movies (the sequel to Polly at the top of my list...)
- take naps
- Chill
- Help Paige study for her AP Am History test
- Go to the Carters store
- Hang out at the best Barnes and Nobles there is
- Maybe watch some Angels Baseball
- Read a book or two (or five)
- Play the piano
- Play with Tanner and Brayden and Chase and Maggie
- And just all-together enjoy being with family

Oh, how I love going home. Have a delightful time!
Visiting home is always fun. I'm glad you get to stay for so long too. Even better! Enjoy your visit and the wedding. We went to the open house last night and it was beautiful. Blake and Whitney looked gorgeous too. I'm so excited for them.
I can't wait!!! I want to do most of those things (plus some) but I'll only be there for four days. Hum, wonder if I'll be able to!? Can't wait to see you :)
