Ever since those little lines showed up on the home pregnancy test, I have been on pins and needles to know just what this little bun (in my oven) will be. The last week and a half I have begun to feel movement and kicking and flurries, which have only heightened my anticipation. Would it be little red truck or little red sunbonnet susans in that imaginary nursury I have been scheming up for the past four months? Would it be sugar and spice and everything nice or snips and snails and puppy dog tails?For some reason (that 177 beats per minute heartbeat way back in October might have had something to do with it) everyone was convinced it was a little girl.
But us Christiansens like to keep people on their toes. It looks like our very own, cute as can be, little BOY bun is on the way! And we couldn't be more excited.
I will say, the ultra sound was very fun. I had had one before (at 14 weeks) when I was threatening a miscarriage. That one was stressful. This one was all delight. The technition was great. We got to see him moving and kicking all over his little placenta. And at the end the technition took a few 3D pictures. It is very surreal to look at that tiny little face and know that in just a few months I'll have my own little boy to love and hold and nurture.

Congrats! Whoohoo! I am very excited for you to have a baby boy! Boys are really so much fun. You are going to be a great mommy. I love the ultrasound picture too. What a sweet little face. Yay! Glad that everything is going well and you are feeling good. Take care!

Congratulations!!! That is an awesome 3-D picture. I don't think I've ever had one that early, how fun. I love that the planning and preparing can get underway now. Hopefully you're feeling a bit better these days too. We love you lots. :)

I'm still a little in shock. From the day you guys told us you were expecting I thought it was definately a girl. SURPRISE! Boys are great, but I'm a little biased. We're so excited for you guys!

SO excited for you guys. When you are there for the 'fun' ones they are so fun and exciting. I know how stressful the 'stressful' ones are though. YEah for boys!! We do seem to produce more of them, but we love our little boys! Time to start the nursery now! YEAH!!!

AHH!!! I"m so happy for you Carly! boys are the best. That's all I want from here on out (if we have anymore. j/k). They are so cute, and destructive, and crazy. I love it. Way less emotional. Congrats to you both!
YEAH!!!! You totally fooled me! I was probably the most surprised of everyone. But now I get to start doing boy sewing for you :) We are excited that our boys will have a little boy cousin too :)

Having 5 boys - what can I say other than I LOVE BOYS!!! And boys love their moms - that is special too. There isn't anything about being a mom that I don't love - not always like - but not love. You wll love being a mom too.
